  • The yoga club is for all students and faculty members who wish to learn and participate in this ancient yet modern art! Students will learn the accessible flowing form of yoga known as vinyasa; as well as breathe control, and meditation practices to deepen their practice.   Yoga has been shown to have numerous physical benefits; it helps to build strength, increases flexibility, lengthens muscles, and helps core stability and posture. The mental benefits are well documented; lowering anxiety and depression as well as teaching more compassionate and empathetic approaches to others and the self.  This club is open to all levels, modifications and variations are offered to serve all.   No experience needed, just a yoga mat, towel, water, and a willingness to try something that could potentially be life changing!
